Are you Ready to Relay?!?!

Well, it has been a week since my last post. I must apologize for that. This has been one more week. My wife is progressing well. Cabin Fever has not set in as of yet. I really thought she would have a harder time with being “trapped” in our house. But we still have at least three weeks to go. Please continue to pray for her recovery. I also want to thank every one that has been so kind this week.

The time is approaching for a fun and exciting fund raisers for cancer research, Relay For Life. You can see our local event web site here. If you are looking for a place you can make a difference, or not, you must look at getting involved in a local Relay For Life event. This is a fundraiser that is everywhere. There is a place for everyone. You don’t have to go spend the night walking around a track at a local school. There are things that can be done from assisting in parking cars to carrying things into the event area. They may need someone to pick up trash or hang signs on a fence or count how many people are at the event at a given time (I’m not too sure about this one) but there are many jobs that need someone to do them. You need to contact a relay team or your local event committee. If you don’t know where to find one of these groups leave a comment. I will try to help you get connected. To learn more about RFL go to http://www.relayforlife.org. This is one event that is a lot of fun as well as an opportunity to help so many people now and in the future.
